Biography

2011 (Junior): Appeared in two games as the team's placeholder on field goals and extra points.

2010 (Sophomore): Appeared in nine games, including one start at wide receiver in the season opener at Idaho (Sept. 2) ... Caught first career pass for seven yards at Northeastern State (Sept. 18) ... Saw action at quarterback vs. UC Davis (Nov. 6), at Montana (Nov. 13) and at South Dakota State (Nov. 20) ... Completed six passes in both of those contests ... Threw for 96 yards against UC Davis and rushed for 11, including his first collegiate touchdown ... Had a season-high 14 carries for 28 yards against Montana ... Earned first letter.

2009 (Freshman): Appeared in three games as a reserve quarterback and holder ... Recorded a six-yard rush in the season opener at Texas Tech (Sept. 5) when North Dakota faked a field goal on fourth-and-four. Two plays later, UND scored its first touchdown of the season and the first against a BCS opponent since 1976.

2008: Redshirt season ... Named UND's Offensive Scout Player of the Week for week 10.

Before UND: A 2008 graduate of Perham High School ... Named most valuable player of the Heart of Lakes Conference as a senior and was an all-state honorable mention ... Earned all-conference honors as a senior and junior ... Threw for more than 3,300 yards and ran for another 1,500 during his career while scoring 49 total touchdowns ... Also played basketball as a prep and was an all-section and all-conference performer.
