2016-17 (Redshirt Junior): Redshirted ... Endeared himself to the Betty crowd by playing an air guitar after big plays, which was later coined the "Jafar Guitar".

Before UND: Arrives in Grand Forks following one season at Des Moines Area C.C. where he averaged 17.2 ppg, 5.5 rpg and 3.2 apg ... Notched eight 20-plus point scoring games for the Bears, including a pair of 28-point performances, and was named to the NJCAA All-Region XI Basketball Team ... Posted three double-doubles, grabbing 11 rebounds in each of those contests ... Spent first collegiate season at Robert Morris, an NCAA Division I program in Pittsburg, Pa. ... Played 14 games for the Colonials, averaging 14.2 mpg and 1.2 ppg off the bench ...
