Finalist for UND’s Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award (all sports) … Won 53.2 percent of his faceoffs to rank eighth in the NCHC (minimum 200 attempts) ... Had two goals and six assists in 39 games ... All eight of his points came in 24 games since the start of December after going scoreless through his first 15 games of the season ... Assisted on the game-tying and game-winning goals in UND’s 6-5 overtime win over #20 St. Cloud State in Game 2 of the NCHC Quarterfinals (March 11) ... 2015-16 (Sophomore): Named to both the NCHC Scholar-Athlete Team as well as his second straight NCHC Academic All-Conference Team ... Established career highs in games (43), points (17), assists (14), goals (3) and plus/minus (+8) ... Scored UND’s first goal in the NCAA Midwest Region semifinal vs. No. 9 Northeastern (March 25) ... Goal at 5:43 of the first period tied the game 1-1 and snapped a personal 35-game drought ... Had his first collegiate 2-assist game in a 4-1 win at Omaha (Feb. 27) as UND clinched at least a share of the Penrose Cup ... Scored the GWG in a 2-0 win at Vermont (Oct. 23) ... Assisted on Joel Janatuinen’s game-winning goal in a 5-1 win over Colorado College in Game 2 of the NCHC Quarterfinals (March 12) … Opened the season with five points (2 goals, 3 assists) in his first six games, matching his freshman point total by the end of October … Earned second letter.
2014-15 (Freshman): Named to NCHC Academic All-Conference Team … Had five assists in 22 games ... Won 54.3 percent of his faceoffs, the fifth-best mark by a freshman in UND history ... Assisted on UND’s lone goal in its NCHC Frozen Faceoff semifinal loss to St. Cloud State (March 20) ... Was also a plus-1 in that game and won five of seven faceoffs (71.4 percent) ... Collected his first collegiate point with an assist in UND’s 7-2 win at Colorado College (Oct. 18) ... Sixteen of his 22 games played came before the Christmas break ... Was inserted into the lineup in the regular-season finale at Miami (March 7) after sitting out UND’s previous 14 games ... Also suited up for both games in UND’s NCHC Quarterfinals sweep of Colorado College (March 13-14) ... Matched his season high with three shots on goal and was a plus-1 in the series-opening 5-1 win … Earned first letter.
Before UND: Spent the 2013-14 season with the Lincoln Stars of the USHL, appearing in 58 games and leading the team in points (59), goals (28), assists (31), power-play goals (9), power-play points (18), shots on goal (229) and plus/minus (plus-7) … Tied for sixth in the USHL goal-scoring race and 12th in the league’s scoring race … Played with the Austin Bruins of the NAHL in each of the previous two seasons … Collected 27 goals and 30 assists in 59 games in 2012-13 and scored 18 goals and 20 assists in 59 games in 2011-12 … A 2011 graduate of Central High School in Grand Forks … Played for Central from 2008-09 to 2010-11 and was an all-state and all-conference selection … Had 31 goals and 19 assists in 26 games as a senior and led Central to a state championship … Also lettered in tennis as a prep.
