George Love

In the spring of 2009, George Love was added to the Fighting Sioux coaching staff as outside linebackers coach.

Last season, UND's outside linebackers accounted for 109 (66 unassisted) of UND's 741 total tackles and brought the quarterback down on six occasions.

Ryan Kasowski recorded 35 tackles (21 solo) and racked up four quarterback hurries, a pass break-up, and a forced fumble. He was named to the Great West All-Conference first team.

A graduate assistant at Northwest Missouri State University from 2007 to 2008, Love spent two seasons as the outside linebackers coach and was the offensive scout team coordinator. The three-time defending MIAA champion, Bearcats finished with a 13-2 record in 2008 and were the NCAA Division II National runner-up.

Prior to NMSU, Love was a member of the Eastern Illinois University coaching staff. With the Panthers, he worked with the safeties and was responsible for creating opponent scouts. Love also assisted with on-field coaching and campus-wide recruiting.

A 2007 graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in general studies, Love played four years for the two-time Ohio Valley champions as a safety/corner. During his freshman and sophomore campaigns, he led EIU in interceptions.
