Tanner Schweitzer is in his second season as a graduate assistant and will work primarily with the defenisve line.

Schweitzer comes to the Fighting Sioux from the University of Mary (Bismarck, N.D.), where he served as defensive line coach for the past two seasons. He also served as assistant wrestling coach at Mary and was the head junior high football coach at St. Mary’s Central High School in Bismarck.

A decorated two-sport student-athlete at Mary, Schweitzer was an NAIA All-American in wrestling in 2003-04 and was a 2002 Dac-10 First Team selection in football in 2002. A defensive lineman with the Marauders, Schweitzer served as team captain and was named the team’s most valuable player as a senior.
