2012 (Redshirt Freshman): Hampered by a shoulder injury that limited him to just three appearances as a reserve defensive back and special teams player ... Made his collegiate debut in his native state of California vs. San Diego State (Sept. 15) ... Made an assisted tackle in back-to-back weeks vs. Cal Poly (Sept. 29) and Eastern Washington (Oct. 6) ... Suffered season-ending injury vs. the Eagles.

Before UND: A 2011 graduate of Kaiser High School … Earned four letters as a wide receiver and defensive back for head coach Phil Zelaya … As a senior, caught 26 passes for 539 yards and seven touchdowns, while adding 37 tackles and seven interceptions on defense … Helped lead team to Sunkist League title and 12-1 record … Named All-Sunkist League at defensive back as a junior and senior … Combined for 10 interceptions over his final two seasons … Also had a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown ... Participated and had an interception in the San Bernardino-Riverside All-Star Classic.
