Spring 2009 (Freshman): Competed in three events and a total of eight rounds ... Averaged 85.6 strokes ... He tied for 18th in the Great West Conference Championship (April 19-21) where he was +35 (81-86-84=251) in the three round event ... He tied for 64th in the Carlton Oaks Invitiational (Feb. 16-17) where he was +28 (81-91=172) in the two round event ... He placed 47th in the Hiddenbrooke Intercollegiate (March 15-17) where he was +46 (83-89-90=262) in the three round event.

Fall 2008 (Freshman): Competed in five events and a total of eleven rounds ... Averaged 75.2 strokes ... Lowest finish was at the Augustana Fall Invitational (Sept. 7-8), where he finished in ninth place at +5 (78-71=149) in the two-round event ... His 71 in that tournament was one-under par and tied his lowest of the season ... Thomas also shot a 71 in his final round at the CSM/UND Invitational (Oct. 11-12).

Before UND: A 2008 graduate of Shanley High School (Fargo) ... Two-time all-state, all-conference and all-region in golf ... Also was a three-year letterman in hockey and soccer.
