Scott Koberinski is in his sixth season as UND’s volunteer assistant coach.

Koberinski works as the hockey coordinator for the Grand Forks Park District.

A native of North Battleford, Saskatchewan, Koberinski was a four-year letterwinner for the Fighting Sioux from 1985-89 and was a sophomore on UND’s 1987 national championship team. He set career highs that season in points (46), goals (19) and assists (27).

Koberinski is tied for 36th on UND’s all-time scoring list with 136 points (48 goals, 88 assists) in 160 career games.

After his UND career, Koberinski played for three seasons with the Swindon Wildcats of the British Hockey League and one year with the Fargo-Moorhead Express of the American Hockey Association.

He was head coach of Waterloo in the USHL from 1999-2002.

Koberinski and his wife, Debbie, have two daughters, Taylor (17) and Riley (13).
