University of North Dakota Athletics

Nolan Potter started his time at the University of North Dakota as a graduate assistant from 2017-19. He was then hired as a full-time athletic trainer and completed his second year with the women’s basketball team in 2020-21. His primary responsibility is women’s basketball.

Potter  also serves as a faculty member in UND’s School of Medicine & Health Sciences.  

A native of Kalamazoo, Mich., Potter transitioned to the University of North Dakota after completing an internship year at Olivet College. He  completed his undergraduate degree at Shawnee State University. Prior to Shawnee, Potter spent two years at Kalamazoo Valley Community College playing baseball before he transferred. 

He is a Certified Athletic Trainer by the Board of Certification (BOC), a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) and the North Dakota Athletic Trainers’ Association (NDATA) and is a licensed Athletic Trainer in North Dakota.
