Former All-Summit League honoree Ashley Brueggeman will begin her first season on the University of North Dakota volleyball staff in 2020 as a Student Assistant Coach while completing her degree.
A four-time letterwinner, Brueggeman finished sixth all-time in UND history in points with 1,390 points while also tallying 1,205 kills, the eighth-most in program history. The 2019 team captain became the 18th player in North Dakota history to reach 1,000 kills on Sept. 19, 2019 in the Fighting Hawks home-opener against Eastern Washington.
Brueggeman was a member of both of North Dakota's NCAA Tournament teams in 2016 and 2017, finishing tied for second in kills per set (2.67) and hitting .230 on the record breaking 2016 Fighting Hawks that finished 30-8.
