Katie Martinez joined UND in March 2019 after working as an Academic Learning Assistant for athletics at Old Dominion University and serving as a Graduate Assistant at Norfolk State University for athletics. 
 
In her position she responsible for advising teams, assisting with student-athlete development, and has developed the Directive Studies Program which assists student-athletes in creating daily educational objectives, weekly organizational calendars, and time management.
