Steve Gust is in his first year as an assistant coach for the Fighting Sioux.

A native of East Grand Forks, Minn., Gust has been the East Grand Forks American Legion head coach for the past nine years and has compiled a 322-154 record in that span.  His teams have won the past three District 9 titles and have finished in the top four in the district in seven of his nine seasons at the helm.

Gust has also been the EGF Sacred Heart High School head baseball coach for the past six seasons. Under his direction, the team has won their conference the past four seasons.
