Zach Weston

Zach Weston joined the University of North Dakota in June of 2021 and currently serves as the Academic Coordinator for the men’s basketball, volleyball, men’s and women’s track & field/cross country and softball programs.
 
Along with his sport responsibilities, he oversees the tutor program for UND Athletics and serves as an advisor for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. He also co-teaches the UNIV 101 transition course that equips student-athletes to successfully transition to college while introducing them to the various supports offered in the athletics department and campus community.
 
Before UND, Weston spent one year at the University of North Carolina as an Assistant Academic Advisor, serving as the primary advisor for the rowing team while assisting with women’s basketball, men’s and women’s Soccer, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, wrestling and softball. Prior to North Carolina, he spent two years as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Missouri for the MizzoMade program. During his time at Missouri, he worked with women’s basketball, softball, women’s soccer, gymnastics, women’s tennis, men’s and women’s track and field/cross country and men’s and women’s swim and dive. He also served as an Assistant Learning Specialist, helped oversee the tutor and mentor program, and assisted Student-Athlete Development in overseeing events for student-athletes.
 
A native of St. Louis, Mo., he earned his undergraduate degree in history in 2017 and Master of Education in positive psychology and athletic leadership in 2020, both from the University of Missouri.
 
Weston is an active member of the National Association of Academic and Student-Development Professionals (N4A) and a part of the N4A mentor/mentee program.
