Natalie Thomas is in her first season as a volunteer assistant coach at UND. Thomas comes to North Dakota after three seasons on staff at Minnesota State University Moorhead following a standout playing career at Minnesota-Morris.

The Champlin, Minn., native spent the past two seasons as a graduate assistant for the Dragons with a third as a student assistant. She worked closely with the setters and offensive system and was a recipient of the 2015 Minority Award scholarship to attend the American Volleyball Coaches Association's annual convention.

She's also worked with numerous collegiate camps, including University of Wisconsin, University of North Carolina and University of Iowa.

As a setter at UMM, Thomas was a first team all-conference honoree as a senior, garnering team MVP accolades in the process. She was second in the UMAC in assists as a senior in league play and finished her career with 2,696 assists in her four seasons. She was an honorable mention all-conference player as a junior, earning a pair of league setter of the week honors.

She was a three-time Dean's List member as an undergrad and maintained a 4.0 grade point average in earning her Master's of Science and Specialists in Educational Leadship with an emphasis in Higher Education from MSUM in May 2016.
