Inside College Hockey names Duncan national player of year

GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- InsideCollegeHockey.com named University of North Dakota men's hockey forward Ryan Duncan (So., Calgary, Alberta) its 2006-07 national player of the year today.

INCH also named Duncan to its 2006-07 All-America First Team, UND forward Jonathan Toews (So., Winnipeg, Manitoba) to its All-America Second Team and Fighting Sioux defenseman Taylor Chorney (So., Hastings, Minn.) to its All-America Third Team.

Duncan, who was named the WCHA player of the year and was also a first team All-WCHA selection, leads UND with 57 points (31 goals, 26 assists) in 42 games on the season.

Toews and Chorney were second team All-WCHA selections this season. Toews has 45 points (17 goals, 28 assists) in 33 games this season, while Chorney has 29 points (8 goals, 21 assists) in 38 games.
