GRAND FORKS, N.D.--North Dakota is ranked No. 2 in the final NCAA Division II Women's Basketball North Central regional rankings, released today by the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Committee.
UND, which finished the regular season 25-2 overall, will host Minnesota Duluth tonight in the quarterfinal round of the North Central Conference Tournament. The winner will advance to Saturday's semifinal round in Vermillion, S.D.
South Dakota, the top seed and host for Saturday and Sunday's NCC Tournament, remains the top-ranked team in the region heading into the postseason.
Third-ranked Concordia-St. Paul, fourth-ranked Fort Lewis and fifth-ranked Nebraska-Kearney each maintained their respective rankings, while Minnesota State climbed one spot to No. 6.
