GRAND FORKS, N.D.--University of North Dakota senior center Ashley Langen has been named to the 2008 Women's Division II Bulletin All-America second team, announced this month in the publication's final issue of the 2007-08 season.

Additionally, UND junior forward Kierah Kimbrough was named an honorable mention All-American by Women's Division II Bulletin.

Langen, a native of Kennedy, Minn., graduates as just the second player in UND women's basketball history ? and 16th in NCAA Division II history ? with 2,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds. In 31 games this season, Langen averaged 16.0 points per game and led the North Central Conference with 10.6 rebounds per game.

Langen capped her senior season by becoming just the seventh player in NCC history to be named a four-time all-conference selection. She graduates as UND's career leader in free throws made (468) and ranks second all-time in scoring (2,078 points), rebounding (1,135), field goals made (804), field goals attempted (1,383), free throw percentage (.799) and games played (130).

It is the second All-America honor of the season for Langen, who was named to the Daktronics Division II All-America first team earlier this spring.

Kimbrough, a Greenbush, Minn., native, played in 31 games this season and led the North Central Conference in field goal percentage (.576) and ranked second in scoring (17.4 ppg) and rebounding (7.7 rpg). She also ranked fifth in blocked shots (1.13 bpg) and seventh in free throw percentage (.797) and was named to her second consecutive All-NCC team.

Kimbrough surpassed the 1,000-point milestone for her career this past season and will enter her senior year ranked 12th on UND's all-time scoring list. In the NCC Tournament semifinal against Augustana earlier this month, Kimbrough set a UND playoff record with 37 points.

Kimbrough was named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-America team earlier this spring.
