Brenny, Schroyer named FSC Athletes of the Week

GRAND FORKS, N.D. ? Junior distance runner Brittany Brenny and junior thrower Creighton Schroyer have been named the University of North Dakota's Fighting Sioux Club Athletes of the Week for the week of Jan. 12 to Jan. 18.

 

Brenny opened the indoor track and field season last Saturday with a first-place finish in the 5,000-meter run at the Bemidji State Super 8 Invitational. The Staples, Minn., native, topped the field with a time of 17:55.08 in the first indoor event of her collegiate career.

 

Schroyer, a native of Pipestone, Minn., also opened the indoor season with an event championship at the BSU Super 8 Invitational. Schroyer took first place in the shot put with a throw of 49-09.75.
