Participating in both the women's and men's tournament this year are North Dakota, South Dakota, and Seattle. Houston Baptist will round out the teams on the women's side and SIU Edwardsville the fourth team in the men's bracket.

Seeding criterion was based on the six game record vs. the other three teams in the tournament. In the event of a tie, the following tie breaker procedure was used:

1.       Head-to-head, two-game record between the teams.

2.       Combined point differential in games played.

3.       Coin flip.
