GRAND FORKS, N.D. ? With the annual University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux football Green-White spring scrimmage less than three weeks away, actions have already been set in motion to make Sat., April 25 an eventful day for the players, coaches and the community.
Pre-game festivities are scheduled to include tailgating, kid's clinics, UND student challenges and a Fighting Sioux Club party. The afternoon highlight is a one-hour autograph session with some of UND football's most noted alumni ? Jim Kleinsasser of the Minnesota Vikings, Chris Kuper of the Denver Broncos, free agent Chad Mustard (formerly of the Denver Broncos), and Weston Dressler of the CFL's Saskatchewan Roughriders. Autograph cards featuring these players will be provided.
Prior to the game, season ticket holders will have the opportunity to utilize North Dakota's “Select a Seat” promotion which enables them to move about the Alerus Center in search of the perfect seat for the 2009 season.
Game time is slated for 1 p.m. at the Alerus Center and is free to the public. During the scrimmage, fans will enjoy food and drink specials, Fighting Sioux football video board highlights, and will have the opportunity to sign up for E-News and the Fighting Sioux Kids Club.
