UND turns heads in annual Pro Day event

| By:
GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Nine members of the 2025 University of North Dakota football team showcased their skills to multiple professional scouts and fans on Wednesday afternoon as part of UND's Pro Day.

The former Fighting Hawks participated in testing and on-field workouts, which attracted several NFL scouts. Teams that were featured included the Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans and San Francisco 49ers.

Players displaying their skills included LS David Neuberger, EDGE Myles Terry, SAF Zach Lewis, RB Xavier Leigh, LB Malachi McNeal, RB Gaven Ziebarth, EDGE Kyjuan Vengrowsky, DB Avery Scott and WR Nate DeMontagnac. The group started the afternoon at the NoDak Insurance Company Sports Performance Center, the largest weight room in the Dakotas, and ended the day on the field at the Frederick "Fritz" D. Pollard Jr. Athletic Center.

"It was exciting to see these guys back on campus today getting this opportunity," said UND head football coach Eric Schmidt. "They did some impressive things today for the scouts. Also, our facility really impressed the NFL teams in attendance."

After getting official measurements, the players took part in multiple events including the bench press, vertical jump, broad jump, 40-yard dash, 3-cone drill and 20-yard shuttle before closing out the day with individual drills tailored to each player's position.

Times and results were unavailable in real-time.
