North Dakota football game at Northwestern State to be televised

GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The North Dakota athletics department, in conjunction with the Ralph Engelstad Arena, Midcontinent Communications and independent cable companies throughout North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota, is pleased to announce that Saturday's UND football game at Northwestern State will be available on selected television cable systems.

The broadcast will be produced by the Southland Conference Television Network and will feature SCTN commentators Doug Anderson and LaDarrin McLane.

Midcontinent Communications in Grand Forks will show the game, along with 20 independent cable companies. The game will be shown on Midcontinent Cable channel 20 in Grand Forks.

"We are grateful to Southland Conference Commissioner Tom Burnett for allowing us to pick up the telecast and to Midcontinent Communications and all of our independent cable operators for airing the game," UND Director of Athletics Brian Faison said. "This game became available to us just before the start of the season and Midcontinent did us a huge favor by making it available to our fans in Grand Forks when they already had a game that they are producing being televised at virtually the same time."

The telecast between the Fighting Sioux and Northwestern State will begin at 6 p.m. central time.
