GRAND FORKS, N.D. - The Fighting Sioux men's hockey team climbed one spot and is ranked fifth in the latest USCHO/CBS College Sports and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls released today.
UND gained a spot in both polls after a 3-1 win over Niagara and a 3-3 tie with No. 20 Notre Dame last weekend at Notre Dame's Shillelagh Tournament in Hoffman Estates, Ill.
The Fighting Sioux, 10-6-4 overall and 6-6-2 in the WCHA, return to conference action next weekend when they host Minnesota State on Friday and Saturday at Ralph Engelstad Arena.
