GRAND FORKS, N.D. - The Fighting Sioux men's hockey team is ranked No. 8 in both the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls released today.
UND fell six spots in both polls after suffering a non-conference sweep at the hands of previously-12th-ranked Maine last weekend. The Black Bears moved up to No. 6 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll and No. 7 in the USCHO poll.
With a six-game road trip behind them, the Sioux now prepare to host WCHA rival Denver in UND's home opener on Friday and Saturday. DU is ranked No. 12 in both polls this week.
