MADISON, Wis. --- Holly Perkins, a freshman forward from Soldotna, Alaska, had two goals and an assist last Saturday to lead the Fighting Sioux to a 7-2 WCHA victory over host Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio.
Trailing the Buckeyes 1-0 in the first period on Feb. 6, Perkins assisted on teammate Sara Dagenais' goal that tied the game at 1-1 in the first, scored the eventual game-winning goal at 4:22 of the second period and then tallied again in the third. In addition to her three points, the right winger also fired eight shots on goal in the series.
Through 18 games played in her rookie season, Perkins has nine points (5g, 4a) to rank fifth in scoring on the UND team.
