VERMILLION, S.D.--The Fighting Sioux men's track team captured four individual event titles today at the University of South Dakota's John Dalton Meet at the DakotaDome.
Senior Mark Barclay (Grand Forks) enjoyed his first individual title of the indoor season with a first-place showing in the 600-meter run. Barclay clocked a time of 1:26.40.
In the 800-meter run, fellow senior Kyle Rosseau (Eagan, Minn.) took first place with a time of 2:00.48.
Another senior, Carl Hanson (Oak Creek, Wis.) won the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.71 seconds.
North Dakota's 1-2 punch of throwers Creighton Schroyer (Sr., Pipestone, Minn.) and Brandon Quesenberry (Jr., Billings, Mont.) punctuated the day for the Fighting Sioux.
Schroyer took first place in the shot put with a toss of 15.74 meters (51-07.75), while Quesenberry's throw of 14.8 meters (48-06.75) earned him runner-up honors.
