GRAND FORKS, N.D. - The University of North Dakota football team will begin 2010 spring drills on Monday, March 29 and will culminate the spring schedule with the annual Green/White Game on April 24 at the Alerus Center.

This spring the Fighting Sioux return 15 starters (seven offense, eight defense) from a 2009 squad that finished 6-5 overall and 2-2 in the Great West Conference. It was UND's seventh straight winning season and 19th of the last 20 years.  In just its second year of transition to NCAA Division I football status, Mussman and his team vied for its first DI conference championship, only to come up short, 20-28, to UC Davis.

Free and open to the public, festivities for the 2010 Green/White Game will begin with tailgating at 8 a.m. in the Alerus Center parking lot. A pre-game kid's clinic will run on the field from 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and will feature instruction from football, volleyball, women's/men's basketball, women's/men's hockey, and soccer student-athletes. All kids, grades K-8, in attendance of the clinic will receive a free ticket voucher for the Oct. 30, 2010 football game against Lamar. Check-in and registration will run from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Concourse activities will begin when doors open at 11:30 a.m. Fans will then have the opportunity to enjoy face painting, a Bounce House, concourse music, and much, much more.

In addition, one winning name will be drawn for a free trip to the Oct. 23 game against Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
