DES MOINES, Iowa--The Fighting Sioux men's track and field team concluded the Jim Duncan Invitational with multiple Sioux athletes finishing strong.
Chris Stoks (So., Virginia, Minn.) placed fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.23 and placed sixth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.81.
Sioux seniors Nick Wilkens (Bismarck, N.D.) placed eighth in the men's triple jump with a leap of 41-09.25 feet (12.73 meters) and Brandon Uehran (Brookings S.D.) placed ninth with a jump of 41-07.75 feet (12.69 meters).
Travis Schultz (Sr., Lakeville, Minn.) placed sixth in the discus throw, recording a throw of 138-03 feet (42.13 meters).
In the long jump, Brant Halvorson (Fr., Rugby, N.D.) placed seventh with a jump 21-06.75 feet (6.57 meters).
Carl Hanson (Sr., Oak Creek, Wis.) placed seventh in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.61.
The Sioux are back in Des Moines April 22-24 at the Drake Relays.
