GRAND FORKS, N.D. - Tickets for the University of North Dakota's Jan. 7 game in Winnipeg against Clarkson will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 10 a.m.
Fans can purchase their tickets online at Ticketmaster.com, in person at the UND Box Office at Ralph Engelstad Arena, or by calling 800.745.3000.
Ticket prices are $23.50 and $30.50 for adults, and $16.50 for students with a valid UND student ID. All seats are reserved.
The UND Box Office at Ralph Engelstad Arena is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday.
There is a UND "fan hold" at the Radisson Hotel in downtown Winnipeg, adjacent to the MTS Centre, for fans interested in lodging options for the weekend of Jan. 6- 7. To book reservations, call 1-800-395-7046.
Dubbed the 'U.S. College Hockey Classic,' the game will be played at the MTS Centre, home to the National Hockey League's Winnipeg Jets, and will be UND's first game on Canadian soil in 59 years. It is being held in partnership with Ralph Engelstad Arena and True North Sports & Entertainment Limited (TNSE).
Notes: The last time UND played a men's hockey game in Canada was Dec. 29-30, 1953, when the Sioux lost a pair of games to host Fort Frances (Ontario) ... The last time UND played outside of the United States was Dec. 26-29, 1982, when the Sioux competed in the Spengler Cup in Switzerland ... The Fighting Sioux have won seven national championships, tied for second-most in NCAA history. Only Michigan, with nine titles, has won more ... The Sioux were national semifinalists in 2010-11, marking the program's fifth trip to the NCAA Frozen Four in head coach Dave Hakstol's first seven years behind the bench ... UND has won 15 Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) championships, the most conference titles of any NCAA men's hockey program ...
