Sioux strong at USD Twilight

Several members of the University of North Dakota women's track and field put up strong finishes for the Fighting Sioux tonight in South Dakota at the USD Twilight.

Jessica Butler and Hannah Daggett shined with second-place finishes for the Sioux. Butler's second-place performance came in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.94 seconds. Daggett won runner-up in the high jump with her leap of 1.52m. Teammate Megan Gray finished third in the event.

Christine Weinreich placed sixth in the shot put with her throw of 12.23m. Kirsten Haas finished seventh in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.39 seconds and fourth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.58 seconds.

The USD Twilight was UND's last indoor meet before the Great West Indoor Championship starting Feb. 27 in New York.
