Carter Rowney says his friends and family have shaped him to the person his is today. Rowney, a junior for the University of North Dakota men's hockey team, says growing up in a small town played a part in that. He knew everyone and could rely on his friends and family.

It holds true today. When he's off the ice, he's always hanging out with teammates and friends, usually watching movies.
