CONWAY, S.C. -- Shawn Johnson posted a GWC-leading throw, Jake Bissell narrowly missed a school record, and Adam Stainiger nabbed a top-7 finish today as UND wrapped up the Coastal Carolina Shamrock Invitational.
Johnson was the runner-up among more than 60 competitors in the discus. The Eveleth, Minn., native logged a throw of 163 feet, 1 inches, the top performance in the Great West Conference this season by more than 15 feet.
Bissell placed fourth in the hammer throw with a toss of 172 feet, 4 inches. That mark fell just six inches shy of the school record.
Meanwhile, Stainiger placed seventh in the 10,000 meters with a time of 32:46.51.
