GRAND FORKS, N.D. - The North Dakota men's hockey team is ranked No. 5 in this week's USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll released earlier today.
UND finished the season with a 26-13-3 overall record and advanced to the NCAA West Region championship game, where it fell 5-2 to Minnesota on Sunday.
The Fighting Sioux also captured their league-record third straight Broadmoor Trophy as Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) champions and earned the No. 1 seed for the regional tournament.
Top-ranked Boston College, which has won 17 straight games, retained its spot atop the poll, followed by No. 2 Minnesota, No. 3 Union and No. 4 Ferris State.
