Omaha, Neb. - Junior Sadie Martin is tied for fourth after an opening-round 78 (+6) at the Creighton Classic on Monday. Martin is six shots off the pace set by Omaha's Kathryn Kesti, who opened the event with an even-par round of 72 at the Oak Hills Country Club.

Senior Mikki Kromy was four shots behind Martin as that duo helped the team post a 331 (+43) in round one. South Dakota built a nine-stroke advantage in the team standings with a 312 (+24). Host Creighton stood in second following a 321 (+33). Bellevue and Omaha are only four shots ahead of the Green and White and tied for third at 327 (+39).

Senior Amanda Fairweather opened with an 85 (+13) and sophomore Alexis Guggisberg posted an 86 (+14) to round out the top four scorers for UND.

The team traveled seven for the tournament with Haily Abel (93; +21) and Madison Gemar (95; +23), playing as individuals.

UND will continue play on Tuesday with the tournament's second round.
