CHICAGO – The University of North Dakota men's tennis team earned its first win of the season by defeating Chicago State, 4-3 on Saturday from Chicago.
UND improves its overall record to 1-1, bouncing back from a loss to South Dakota State last weekend.
Chicago State jumped out to an early lead by claiming the doubles point, with wins in the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles matches. UND claimed a win on the No. 2 court with Dustin Britton and Simon Danyluk winning, 8-4.
Despite losing the doubles point, UND got all four of the wins it needed to win the meet.
