GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The University of North Dakota men's tennis team defeated Concordia College, 6-1, on Saturday evening at Choice Health and Fitness.

North Dakota claimed wins in all but one of the meet's nine matches, dropping only the No. 1 singles match to the Cobbers.

A total of five matches were won by the Fighting Hawks without conceding a single game: the No. 4, 5, and 6 singles matches, along with the No. 2 and 3 doubles matches.

David Bergstrom and Travis Lau won their fifth No. 1 doubles match of the season, winning 6-4. Connor Oberle and Matt Hokanson won the No. 2 doubles match, 6-0, while Joe Lee and Ty Misialek won the No. 3 match, 6-0, as well.

Lee continued his perfect day, winning the No. 5 singles match, 6-0, 6-0, as he was the only Fighting Hawk to finish the day without losing a game.

Lau and Varma also went perfect in singles play, winning the No. 4 and No. 6 matches, 6-0, 6-0. Misialek won the No. 2 singles match, 6-4, 6-1, while Oberle won the No. 3 match, 7-5, 6-1.

The only loss on the day came in the No. 1 singles match, as David Bergstrom came back to force a third set, but ultimately lost the match, 7-6, 1-6, 6-3, to Concordia's Isaac Toivonen.

North Dakota hits the road for a Big Sky Conference stretch, taking on Southern Utah next Friday, March 25, before playing against Northern Arizona on Saturday, March 26.
