GRAND FORKS, N.D.-- North Dakota raced out to an early lead and never relented, leading by 25 at the half en route to a convincing 88-39 exhibition win over Bemidji State Sunday afternoon at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center. All 12 Fighting Hawk players that suited up found the score sheet in the win.

Lexi Klabo turned in a workman-like 17 points and 15 rebounds to pace the home team, part of three players to score in double figures. Fellow senior
Jill Morton poured in 10 while freshman
Jaclyn Jarnot added 12 points and six rebounds. Sophomore
Julia Fleecs chipped in eight points and nine rebounds.
UND ripped off the first eight points of the game, making on each of its first three shots from the floor and pressing the pedal to the floor, eventually leading by 10 after the first quarter. The Fighting Hawks would allow just six field goals makes in the opening half and opened up a 41-16 wound on the Beavers through the first 20 minutes.
The momentum never slowed in the second half as the Hawks again allowed just two field goal makes in the third quarter and led comfortably, 67-22, through three quarters. UND out-rebounded Bemidji State, 62-39, for the game.
Six different UND players scored at least eight points with
Melissa Leet (9 points) and
Faith Dooley (8 points, 6 rebounds) complementing the complete-team effort.
North Dakota will host one final tuneup with an exhibition against Minnesota Crookston Tuesday evening at the Betty. Tip time is slated for 7:00 p.m.
