About Western Michigan
The Broncos have dropped four of their last five games in the wake of last weekend's split against Omaha.
Junior forward Wade Allison, the team's top goal-scorer a year ago, made his 2018-19 debut last Friday and scored a goal in WMU's 7-2 win over the Mavericks. Cole Gallant scored twice and defenseman Cam Lee dished out three assists.
Allison was not in the lineup for the series finale, a 4-2 WMU loss.
Junior forward Hugh McGing (5-4--9), sophomore forwards Josh Passolt (4-5--9) and Ethen Frank (2-7--9), and Lee (4-5--9) are all tied for the team scoring lead entering this weekend's series.
The Broncos have started three different goaltenders between the pipes so far: Trevor Gorsuch (4 starts), Austin Cain (4) and Ben Blacker (2). Gorsuch started both games against Omaha last weekend and leads the trio with a 2.83 goals against average and .897 save percentage.
