The University of North Dakota Athletics Department announced on Wednesday adjustments to the UND football parking and tailgating map at the Alerus Center that will be in effect for the remainder of the 2018 season.
Tailgate Village will be moved one lot to the west next to season-long tailgating spots. Tailgate Village is home to bounce houses, kids zone turf, the opportunity to purchase food and drink from North Dakota Athletics partners Deek's Pizza, Ground Round and Sickie's Garage, a DJ, the UND Bookstore selling apparel, the official game sponsor and corporate hospitality tents.
As in previous seasons, Tailgate Village will open two-and-a-half hours prior to kickoff and will close 30 minutes prior to kickoff.
Along with Tailgate Village, the North Dakota Champions Club tent will continue to be placed in Tailgate Village and will also be moved one lot to the west from where it had been located for the Aug. 30 game.
North Dakota Champions Club members and season-long reserved spot tailgaters will experience no change from the Aug. 30 game in regard to their parking locations. Fans who are not a part of either group will be charged $5 per parking spot to enter the lot upon arrival. Fans can purchase multiple parking spots for $5 to allow more room for tailgating next to their vehicle if desired.
In the past, a $15-per-parking-spot option was available to fans who were not a member of the North Dakota Champions Club or did not have a season-long, reserved parking pass.
Alerus Center parking lots open five hours prior to kickoff. For the Sept. 22 game, kickoff is at 4 p.m. No one will be allowed access into the parking lots without a working credential prior to 11 a.m.
