ABOUT NORTH DAKOTA STATE
North Dakota State enters Saturday's contest with a 2-3 mark in conference play. The Bison picked up wins over South Dakota and Western Illinois, but fell to Purdue Fort Wayne, Omaha, and Denver. The loss at Denver on Thursday was the fourth straight loss in the Mile High City and the first win of the conference season for the Pios.

NDSU is built very similarly to UND, needing its bench to provide a spark. This season, the Bison reserves are averaging 30 points per game, accounting for 41% of their total scoring.

In their last win over Western Illinois, six players reached double figures in the win. Led by Tyson Ward's 17 points and career-high 13 rebounds. Ward leads the Bison in points per game (11.8), rebounds per game (6.2), and steals per game (0.8).

SERIES HISTORY
Saturday will mark the 296th all-time meeting between North Dakota and North Dakota State, with UND holding a 161-134 lead in the rivalry series. While UND owns the overall series, NDSU holds a slight 6-4 advantage in the Division I chapter of the rivalry. In a weird fact, the road team has won the last five meetings.

Since 2000, UND and NDSU have met 20 times with UND winning 10 contests and NDSU winning 10. Even more, both teams are exactly 5-5 on the road and at home during that stretch.
