TONIGHT:
North Dakota searches for the sweep of Canisius Saturday night before heading on the road next week as UND makes its first road trip, a series at third-ranked Minnesota State.
BROADCAST INFORMATION
This weekend's games will both be telecast live on Midco Sports Network, the primary TV home of North Dakota hockey. Alex Heinert does the play-by-play, with former UND goalie Jake Brandt handling the color analysis with Katie Hale as the rinkside reporter. The series will also be available via streaming at NCHC.tv.
All UND men's hockey games, home and away, can be heard on stations across the UND Sports Home of Economy Radio Network, as well as through the iHeart Radio app. The flagship station for the network is 96.1 FM (The Fox). Longtime broadcaster Tim Hennessy, in his 41st season as the voice of UND men's hockey, calls the action while Steve Olson provides color analysis.

SET THE EXPECTATION
The University of North Dakota is honored to host Brenda Tracy at Saturday's game and all weekend long as part of her "Set the Expectation" campaign to end sexual violence.
Tracy, herself a sexual assault survivor, is making her second visit to the UND campus after having initially brought her message to UND's student-athletes back in February.
The Fighting Hawks will be sporting both decals on their helmets and patches on their game jerseys for Saturday's game in support of Tracy's campaign.

LAST TIME OUT
Senior
Dixon Bowen had a pair of goals and a dozen UND players registered at least one point in a convincing 5-0 win over Canisius Friday evening in the regular season opener for both teams. North Dakota led just 1-0 late in the second, but three goals in a little more than three minute span in the third blew the doors wide open.
SEASON OPENERS
North Dakota is now 3-1-1 in season-opening games under Coach Berry. Last season, UND dropped a 2-1 decision at Bemidji State before opening the home schedule with a1-1 tie the following night.
POLL POSITION
UND remained at No. 18 in the Oct. 7 USCHO.com poll. North Dakota was outside the top 15, receiving votes in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll for the second straight week.
STRONG NCHC FLAVOR IN THE POLLS
Six of the eight NCHC teams are ranked or receiving votes in the USCHO.com poll this week. Two-time defending national champion Minnesota Duluth tops the poll with Denver second and St. Cloud State seventh. Western Michigan sits 14th with North Dakota at 18. Colorado College is receiving votes in the first poll of the regular season.
SPEAKING OF RANKINGS
North Dakota had 10 wins against teams that were ranked when they played last season. UND went 10-9-1 against ranked teams in 2018-19.
BOWEN ARROW
Senior
Dixon Bowen registered his second career two-goal game in Friday's win vs. Canisius. Of Bowen's 12 career goals, three have come at the hands of the Golden Griffins, after he scored his first career tally vs. Canisius in his freshman season.
PINTO DEBUT
Freshman phenom
Shane Pinto made his much-anticipated collegiate debut Friday, scoring just four-and-a-half minutes in for UND's first goal. It came on his first shot on goal and it would go down as the game-winner in North Dakota's shutout.
ADAM 5-OH
Sophomore goaltender
Adam Scheel registered his second career shutout, both coming by 5-0 scores. He needed just 11 saves Friday to pick up his 14th career win.
POOR WEATHER, GOOD WEATHERBY
Sophomore
Jasper Weatherby tallied a pair of assists in Friday's 5-0 win over Canisius. Weatherby's night came in a snow-soaked season opener that didn't dampen UND's offense, which churned out four goals in the final 25 minutes.
SHANE WIN-TO
Pinto won 14 of his 18 faceoff draws in his NCAA debut Friday vs. Canisius. He and
Jasper Weatherby combined to win 27 of their combined 35 faceoffs Friday.
