GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The University of North Dakota hockey program had a total of 22 players named to the newly-named NCHC Honor Roll, which was announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon.
In addition, 15 of those student-athletes earned NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete, which is awarded to those who achieved a 3.5 grade-point average or better. Highlighting the list includes
Dylan James and
Ben Strinden, who each earned the distinction for the fourth straight year.
Incoming transfers Gavin Lindberg and Brasen Boser also earned recognition from their previous institutions, with Lindberg garnering NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete honors.
To earn a spot on the NCHC Honor Roll (previously called Academic All-Conference), a student-athlete must compile a 3.0 cumulative grade-point average (or better) and have completed a full academic year at their current institution. Similarly, to receive NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete honors, a student-athlete must attain a 3.5 cumulative GPA or better with a full year of academic studies.
