SERIES HISTORY
North Dakota owns an all-time mark of 159-83-11 (.647) against Colorado College, with the Fighting Hawks claiming a 20-4-1 mark since the teams joined the NCHC. UND swept the earlier series this season in Grand Forks, registering back-to-back overtime wins (4-3 and 3-2) on Jan. 11 and 12.

The teams have split the series played in Colorado Springs in each of the past two seasons.

COLORADO COLLEGE COACHING STAFF
Mike Haviland is in his fifth season at the helm of Colorado College. He owns a 47-112-17 mark in his time as the Tiger bench boss. His teams have seen its win totals increase year-to-year, starting with six wins in year one and a 15-win campaign last season.

ABOUT COLORADO COLLEGE
The Tigers are 12-16-4 overall and 6-11-3 in conference play heading into this weekend. CC just played on Tuesday, a makeup game from Feb. 1, falling 1-0 to Denver at Broadmoor World Arena.

It's a senior-laden group that makes up the scoring leaders for the Tigers as each of the top four are all fourth-year players: Trey Bradley (12-15--27), Westin Michaud (10-13--23), Trevor Gooch (10-10--20) and Mason Bergh (5-15--20). Former UND forward Chris Wilkie is fifth in scoring (6-13--19) followed by three freshmen, including Ben Copeland, who had five of his nine goals last week against Western Michigan.

LAST MEETINGS BETWEEN THESE TEAMS:
UND and Colorado College were embattled in two great games at the Ralph Engelstad Arena on Jan. 11-12. North Dakota won both games in overtime after CC rallied back from 2-0 deficits both times. Friday, the Tigers scored three straight to take the lead until Jordan Kawaguchi tied in late in the third and then Ludvig Hoff ended it late in overtime for a 4-3 UND win. Saturday, UND again squandered that two-goal lead, but this time it was Kawaguchi scoring in the first minute of overtime to be the hero.

LAST SERIES
North Dakota split a series at home against third-ranked Minnesota Duluth last week. UND won, 4-1, Friday on the strength of three first-period goals to propel Peter Thome to his first win in net since November. Saturday, UMD took a 3-1 lead and had to hold off North Dakota in the third for a 3-2 win.

POLL POSITION
UND returned to the national rankings this week, appearing in the Feb. 25th USCHO.com poll at No. 20. It was UND's first time in the back in the national rankings since Jan. 14. North Dakota did not appear in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll also released this week.

STRONG NCHC FLAVOR IN THE POLLS
Not only does St. Cloud State top both polls, but three other NCHC teams find themselves in the top 10 and five total teams are in the national rankings. Minnesota Duluth sits at No. 3 in the USCHO poll, Denver is sixth, Western Michigan is 10th and UND checks in at No. 20.

HANDLING THE RANKED TEAMS
North Dakota has 10 wins against teams that were ranked when they played. UND is 10-8-1 against ranked teams this season.

THEY HAVE THEIR AT-TEN-TION
North Dakota just finished playing its fourth consecutive series against a top 10 team. Through that stretch, UND was 3-4-1. The Fighting Hawks out-scored their opponents, 21-16, in that stretch, including a pair of five-goal outbursts (vs. St. Cloud and at Western Michigan).
