GRAND FORKS, N.D.-- The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) released its Krampade Division I All American Scholars Tuesday with the University of North Dakota setting the pace in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) with seven honorees. Now in its third year, the All-American Scholars program recognized a total of 497 Division I men's and women's hockey players.
To garner All-American Scholar distinction, a student-athlete must have earned at least a 3.6 grade-point average during each semester of the 2018-19 academic year and participated in at least 40 percent of their team's games this past season. A small number of waivers to the 40 percent participation requirement were granted due to injury or for back-up goaltenders.

Colton Poolman have all been named to this list in each of the three years of the award's existence.
Cole Smith and
Zach Yon are each repeat winners with
Jacob Bernard-Docker and
Joel Janatuinen adding their names to the list this season.
