SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- After back-to-back seasons of growth, junior
Filip Rebraca was named to the Preseason All-Summit League First Team on Monday afternoon as announced by the league office.
Earning a honorable mention selection from the league last season, Rebraca appeared in 32 games, starting all of them, and led the team and the league with 13 double-doubles. He reached double figures in 27 of the 32 games he appeared in, sitting second on the team with 14.3 points per game and leading the squad with 8.9 rebounds per game. Those 13 double-doubles were the most by a UND player in a single season during the program's Division I era (2008-present) and his 15 career double-doubles place him second for the most since 2008. The Sombor, Serbia native also finished second in the Summit League in shooting percentage and third in rebounds per game.
UND was also selected to finish sixth in the league's preseason poll after reaching the conference title game a season ago. The Fighting Hawks return two of their three leading scorers,
De'Sean Allen-Eikens and Rebraca, from that team as well as four key bench players. This is UND's highest preseason selection since joining the Summit League in 2018-19.
