GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The University of North Dakota men's tennis team didn't want to head into its break with a bad taste in its mouth, and the Fighting Hawks made sure to keep the good times rolling with a 5-2 victory over Omaha on Sunday morning from Choice Health and Fitness.Â
UND (7-2) extends its program-record winning streak to seven straight and moves to 1-0 in Summit League action with its second straight win over Omaha (3-4) since joining the conference.Â
The Hawks made quick work of the Mavericks in doubles play, picking up a pair of wins on the No. 2 and No. 3 courts to take a 1-0 lead in the match.

Lucas Percy started the scoring with a 6-2 victory before
Edmond Aynedjian and
Jake Kuhlman polished off the two-man action with a 6-3 triumph.Â
Omaha started to rally in singles play, however, collecting two singles wins from the third and sixth positions to take a 2-1 lead in the match. The advantage didn't last for long as
Johnatan Parat remained perfect in singles action with a 6-1, 6-2 victory on the No. 5 court to tie the contest at 2-2.Â
Lukas Buth pushed the tilt to its brink with his third straight win from the No. 2 position by a 7-5, 6-3 score before the all-EDC battle on the fourth court went to Grand Forks Red River's Kuhlman, 6-4, 6-4, over Fargo South's Davis Lawley to seal the victory for UND.Â
Andreja Petrovic moved to 8-0 on the season from the top spot with a 6-3, 7-6 triumph to put the finishing touches on a 5-2 victory for the Hawks.Â
North Dakota will enjoy a nice break before returning to action in Oklahoma on March 6.Â
