Series History vs. Purdue Fort Wayne
This will be the seventh all-time meeting between North Dakota and Purdue Fort Wayne, with the Mastodons holding a 4-2 advantage in the series. Since both teams have been in the Summit League, the series is knotted at 2-2. This will be the first meeting in postseason play between the programs.
Three Times By Three
UND has made it tough on its fans to watch games over the last month, as the Fighting Hawks have won their last three games by three points. To go even further, the winning basket in those games came 11 seconds (at WIU), 0.9 seconds (vs. NDSU), and most recently 10 seconds (vs. USD) on the clock. UND also has an overtime loss to Omaha in there that saw the Mavs hit a go-ahead shot with 13 seconds to play.
Under-40 Club
While it's not the ultimate tool for success, UND has done well when shooting under 40% from the field in a game. With the win over South Dakota on Sunday, the Hawks are now 3-2 this season when failing to reach the 40-pecent mark, with wins over Georgia Southern, Denver, and South Dakota.
