OMAHA, Neb. -- The University of North Dakota men's tennis team fell, 5-2, to Omaha on Saturday afternoon to close out the regular season from the Koch Tennis Center in Omaha. 

UND (10-7, 2-3 Summit League) will now head to Denver to battle the top-seeded Pioneers in the semifinals of the Summit League Tennis Championships on Friday, April 30 at 10 a.m. 

The Mavericks picked up the doubles point to jump out to a 1-0 lead before UND rallied to knot the score at one when Edmond Aynedjian rolled to a 7-6, 6-0 win from the No. 4 court. 

Omaha answered back with a pair of wins in straight sets from the No. 2 and 3 positions before two of the three final matches went the way of the hosts in three sets to close out the win. Petro Alex picked up the second point of the afternoon for the Hawks, with a 6-3, 2-6, 6-3 win at the bottom spot. 

North Dakota will battle the Pioneers at 10 a.m. from Denver in the program's first postseason appearance at the Division I level.
