GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The University of North Dakota athletics department announced today a two special ticket promotions for the home opener for the No. 8/7 Fighting Hawks football team against Drake on September 18. 
 
The first promotion is a special group ticket rate of $5 per ticket for groups of 20 and larger. For groups in size of 10-19, tickets are priced at $10 each. 
 
"Coming off a championship spring season, it is incredibly important to provide as much momentum as possible as we start the Fall home season by providing an opportunity for area businesses and to attend our home opener with a one-time special group ticket rate," said North Dakota director of athletics, Bill Chaves. "We're also excited to add value to our Jr. Champions Kids Club with this voucher. In addition to the annual Potato Bowl festivities, we will be honoring the legacy of Fritz Pollard Jr. as well as celebrating our Missouri Valley Football Conference championship team from last season – it should be an amazing day in Grand Forks."
 
This special group ticket rate is over 50% off the normal group ticket price and is good for the first football game only based on availability. To purchase tickets, groups are encouraged to contact the Ralph Engelstad Arena box office at 701-777-4689 of tickets@theralph.com.  For messages left after hours, groups will get a return correspondence the next business day.
 
The second promotion is a special discount for Jr. Champions Club members and a family member. Jr. Champions members can gain admission with a $5 ticket purchase. In addition, a voucher inside each Jr. Champions Club packet is good for a $5 adult ticket as well.  That voucher can be redeemed any time at the REA/UND ticket prior to game day, Saturday, Sept 17.
 
Normally, only Jr. Champions members receive the $5 ticket offer and adults accompanying them pay the full single game price.
