North Dakota Falls At Weber State, 3-0

OGDEN, Utah – After defeating Seton Hall on Friday night in Logan, Utah, the Hawks traveled south for a morning match, falling 3-0 (25-15, 25-13, 25-14) to defending Big Sky Conference champion Weber State.

In the first, North Dakota built a five point early advantage at 7-2 fueled by an ace serve from Peyton Sewell but couldn't hang on the rest of the way.

Despite five kills in the second set from Lexi Ahrens, Weber State went on to win the set.

In similar fashion, Weber State claimed the third set.

Ahrens led the way with a team high nine kills for North Dakota.   Elizabeth Norris finished with nine assists for the Hawks.

The Fighting Hawks travel to Mount Pleasant, Mich to take part in the Chippewa Invitational.  The first of three matches on the weekend will be against host Central Michigan on September 3rd at 12:30 p.m.
